Jane Wray has an established track record in research, scholarship, teaching and learning with research interests in nurse education and professional practice with a focus on supportive and inclusive workplaces.
A nurse by background, she was previously the Senior Clinical Nurse Advisor for the National Preceptorship Project in the Uk and led the Burdett Trust funded StaR project (Supporting Transition and Retention).
Jane is currently, Senior Lecturer in Nursing in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Hull, Graduate Research Director and Deputy Editor for Evidence Based Nursing. Jane has published and presented her work nationally and internationally and supervises students at undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
She has been awarded a Fellow Ad Eundem of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery at the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (FFNMRCSI) (2022), A Burdett Trust for Nursing 'Nursing Hero' award (2022) and was shortlisted for the Nursing Times Workforce Awards for Preceptorship Team of the Year (2023).
