Catherine Rye is an experienced Allied Health Professional, and Paediatric Physiotherapist. She has over 21 years of experience working in clinical, leadership, research and education roles across multiple settings, including NHS hospitals, specialist centres, child development centres, community and private practice.
Catherine worked as a Practice Educator and Head of Education for Allied Health at Great Ormond Street Hospital, developing education, supervision and Preceptorship programmes for bands 5-8. Catherine has published qualitative and quantitative research abstracts showing the impact of Band 6 Preceptorship programmes, that have been presented at national conferences.
She was chair of the National Preceptorship community of practice and and co-chair of the North Central London Preceptorship group. She worked on the design and implementation of the National Preceptorship Quality Mark for Nursing, Midwifery and AHPs. She represented the London region and was part of the national team.
As an AHP Learning and Development Consultant at Beyond Preceptorship, she provides specialist AHP education, including Band 6 Professional Development and Research courses. She is also an experienced coach, mentor and clinical supervisor who uses these skills to help develop and inspire students and staff at every stage of their career.
